My pregnancy started out alright. I found out I was pregnant at 6weeks and was put on prenatal vitamins and sent on my way.

At 12 weeks I had a bleeding episode. I still to this day do not know how someone can have that much blood and not miscarry. My husband and I went to the doctor the next day and had an unltrasound done. (more…)

Birth Control Pills Don’t Increase Risk of Heart Attack for Non-Smokers

Women who currently take or have taken oral contraceptives (OCs) are no more likely to have a heart attack than women who do not take them, according to a study appearing in the April 23 issue of the journal Archives of Internal Medicine.

Morning sickness. Good news, bad news

The thrill of being pregnant can be replaced rather quickly with the unpleasant experience of constant or intermittent nausea. This is the bad news. The good news is that morning sickness rarely lasts longer than the first three months of pregnancy.
